Air Conditioning System Benefits

To help achieve the reduction in CO2 emissions, the government introduced an incentive scheme to encourage the use of energy efficient equipment called "Enhance Capital Allowance" (ECA).

Under the scheme, managed by Carbon Trust, business users can write off 100% of their expenditure on new energy efficient equipment purchases that meet specified criteria against taxable profits – all in the year the investment is made.

This can deliver a useful up-front cash flow boost and shorten the payback period on the investment.

Businesses can claim the ECA in their Income Tax Returns.
